Monica Currie-Johnson is a retired physician now full time avid mosaic artist based in Northern California. Known for her colorful pieces that incorporate glass, ceramics, stone, and metal, she specializes in recycling and reimagining materials to create unique and expressive works. Inspired by community involvement and giving back, she has volunteered on large scale urban mosaic projects in Seattle, Los Angeles, San Diego, Long Beach, Detroit, and Nashville. She serves on the Board of the Art Association of Napa Valley and the Contemporary Mosiac Art2 Association. She has taught classes in Northern California and serves as an instructor at Piece by Piece in Los Angeles.
Her work is presently found at the Art Gallery Napa Valley.
